This was the best ending to any story I’ve seen or read. I was floored, and bawled my eyes out.

Holy hell! Now I really started to cry because after all 50 episodes you learned one thing! THAT the Geass will destroy you no matter what! That was what c.c told Lelouch all this time and he never really paid any attention! He like did all that!!!!! Went through all that pain and loss of the ones he loved for what? I can’t help but cry! BUT BUT….Lelouch had to die! He would have done wrong to the world. I told myself he must go and he must die for his plan to work…..but even then I cried because I couldn’t help, but wonder…..was there a way out of this? Even his sister, the one he did this all for he left behind. And it was all because of the geass. Even his allys left him because of the geass. HIS sister left him because of the geass. And in the end Nunnally loved him and cried over him saying HE was all she needed. Is people and love all we ever needed? Was love all anyone needed? It makes the whole world seem so sullen and worthless when you put it that way. I really have to say, if it were not for Lelouch/Zero……the world would have not been freed and everyone would have died. (Even though we all kinda know he killed sooo many!) One anime that make you cry and takes your heart away. So, in the end C.C Was right! And I really wonder if there would be another anime following this? I think I could leave the drama for now though. No more tears for me! But Lelouch….you will always be in our hearts! You’re the best leader in the world and you don’t even know it!

that was so sad and mest up an know-one ever finds out other than nuna, suzaku, and jerimiah that lelouch did that dam it every manga i watch the good guy(or the one that i like) dies at the end whats up with that in death note all light was tring to do was create an ideal world and he died in naruto all naruto wants to do is become hokage and save his best friend he died and sasuke died too he just wanted to kill the monster who killed his whole family an now in code geass lelouch dies too save the world from its own hate i’m starting to think good guys finish last i might have to rethink this whole ‘good girl’ thing i mean i’m not realy scared to die but i do want to go do something that will make people remember me like people will remeber lelouch but not in a good way like he deserves or naruto and sasuke won’t be rememberd at all nor will light poor things is there one action mang with an ending where mabe the good guy dosn’t die or at least one where the good one dies but they remeber him for more than a week or remember the good guy as a good guy

I thought the ending was very sad and shocking. Not only Lelouch dieing but that everyone hating him for the use of geass. But the one thing that got me upset was that his own sister wanted him dead but couldnt do it, and at the end she cryed for him and said “i love you brother”. Idk It was just all sad @ the end

that has to be the deepest, most emotional finale ever. to those who say there should be a season 3, its not gonna happen. lelouche clearly died, and even if they made a plot twist, it would make moments like wat just happened meaningless.

I think Lelouch is still alive cuz when C.C was at the end she had a crane. and if u saw the first season nunally says that if u make 1000 cranes ull wish will come true.

Lelouch is like Jesus, he died to save the world. It is sad that only a few understood what Lelouch was doing, Zero Requiem. Where in Lelouch draws all hatred to himself. When Nunnaly realized it, it was already too late. The reason Suzaku agreed to this is because it was the only way he could forgive Lelouch. When Lelouch took the trigger of FLEIJA from Nunnaly and when he walked away he should at least shed a tear it could help make that moment better. I think Lelouch should have used Schneizel to become Emperor and use Zero Requiem on him. But that would mean there would be a season 3. The story is great. I would never forget this show.

so many people that lelouch loved and held dear to him died,
and in the end lelouch, the one who was destined to form a new world, died. it seems that the only way form him to destroy the present world, and recreate a new one, was for him to destroy himself, in the hopes that the world would change for the better. lelouch was, and is a hero. one of the main themes in this anime is that the decisions and the mistakes of the old, are to be fought out and settled by the young. with that theme, we, the people who watched this, should learn from this wonderful anime. LONG LIVE LELOUCH!!! ALL HAIL LELOUCH!!!!!!!!

one thing is that lelouch lost alot of friends that he held close to him, so he had no will to live. So how can he be driving the cart if he wanted to die?

Up at the top noah made a comment about the 1000 cranes and the wish, but that still doesnt prove that he is alive, I meen,that would be cool and all if he was alive, but that would hurt the seriousness and the emotional part of the anime.

I liked Lord-Of-Lelouch’s comments about the anime, quite deep, and meaningful.

I think this ending is what you want it to be.
At first I always thought Lulu was immortal because of his Geass, but Suzaku said, ‘I accept this ‘Geass”.So maybe Lulu really did die.I’d like to think he could’ve lived though.At least Japan got it’s peace in the end of the series like he promised.He just had to die for it.I still like to think he’s alive after the series, even though it looks ultimately impossible.
Also, if the series did make a third it definently would’nt be as good without Lulu, and Suzaku has to take on the role of Zero, but what would the series be about?Another war?Seems too random, I think its a good idea just to leave it as is.

This was the best story plot ending i think i hace ever seen. Oh, and Lelouche is still alive, first if you freeze fram the picture of the driver of the wagon at the end, its a guy with black spiky hair, whitch normaly isnt enough. But C.C and Lelouche are in love with each other, and C.C is like, they say that geass only causes lonlyness and despair, but thats not always the case………..is it lelouche, and she wouldnt be alone because she is with him, think about it, i still am, but i think they kept the theory of him being alive so readers dont get upset that they killed him, and they can think, oh, there is that chance that he is alive..

They always i repeat ALWAYS kill my fave characters. first, euphie, and what made me sad was that lulu, my fave male character killed her even if it was an accident, shirley, (i was kinda happy when rollo died cause no one and I mean No one kills shirley and plans 2 kill nunna unless I SAY SO!!!!!!! Then lelouch dies, i seriously had to log off go upstairs, cry, then come back and log on, ps: if lulu lives i don’t care if the 3rd season sucks, i’ll just be happy that he’s alive. i created my own character for this show and her name is tommi/sky-sama/maggie/ miss kawaguchi/ a whole he11 of a lot of other names. soo sooorry that was r@nd0m. anyway what saddens me is that to protect those close 2 him, lulu always sacrificed himself 2 protect those close to him, i felt that way ever since he lyed about euphie to suza-kun and everyone else. there goes a true good, but misunderstood person. I agree freddie. It also sends a good message to the leaders of countries today. Do we really have to have another WWIII to get world peace? No, all we need to do is focus all our technology in making free energy (rechargable cars) instead of making more quicker ways to kill one another.

Well !!! That has got to be the best ending to an anime that I’ve ever seen! Too bad Lelouch dies though, but I was really inspired by his courageous sacrafice for the greater good. It includes the common theme of the next generation taking the lead in the future. However, I must say that it was very genius for HIM to be the very thing that everyone hates, and by doing so, after his death everyone would start to move on with their lives. In addition to that, it’s sad that Suzaku couldn’t forgive Lelouch in a very positive way other than by having Lelouch die at this hands. Perhaps it couldn’t be avoided, nor should it have (because it made the ending all the more better).

And to all those people wanting an R3, forget about it. Lelouch is dead, and the voice that C2 is talking to is herself. It would do the whole series an injustice if there was an R3 because by doing so it would make all these sad great moments not count for anything at all.

He could of figuratively mean’t the giving of the geass. He may of mean’t it as “we control our own fates, we should not play god”

Or, Lelouch became immortal as a consqeuence of the Geass, and was able to actually give powers to others, like C.C.

For such a character in anime to achieve a title of masiha has been remarcalbe to watch. As I watch this series I grew to love it emensily because of its monarchy, control, etc. But as the series went on I understood the true meaning of this anime (and its anitmonarcal means) was to ensure peace through the world at the sake of a hero turn evil turn hero turn evil (u get the picture). I like that in the end I kept asking myself why is Leouch doing this to everyone, using his geass so immaturely. But in the end I was sure Leouch would make it right with everyone even with Nunnally. But I was wrong. If he would become the hero in the end then he would have to use his geass on everyone for his control to make him look good, and thats not in a world of peace…. for Nunnally. It adds good affect for Leocuh to be the evil at the end, instead of everyone in the entertaiment media that uses the whole jesus the saviour apporch to fix a problem via tv, movies, anime. All in all, this apporch, the villain that was truley the saviour of peace and humanity for the world will never be recogined for it……..THIS WAS THE BEST TV SERIES I HAVE EVER SEEN!

well i am not a fan of anime in fact i almost hate it the only reason i even saw an episode of this is because i thought that it was a comedy but i must say it was by far one of the best series i have ever seen in the world and the ending is the best and now that that is out of the way i say we stop voicing are personal opinion as the final say and cut to the facts an attempt to tell if there will be a round 3
A: it was a great ending and will be very tough to top
B: as allie (above) pointed out killing the main character seems to be a theme
C:i think we can all agree the writers are capable of a twist that would make it possible
D: the episode guide says that this is season final and if it where over the proper term would be series final
E: there where only 50 turns/stages(episodes) and 2 games/ rounds(seasons) which are an incredible low numbers for shows
F: the crane theory does seem to have the roots and possibility plus in the opening you see a crane flying with a rain bow planet between 2 planets and he said in the end that a geass was kinda like a wish
G: the cart theory/ C2 talking to him
1:people seem to think it is the driver which is a possibility
2: some one said that it was who she was talking to the whole time which is wrong because that was his mom she was talking to for those of you who didn’t get that atlest untill she disappeared and in one or 2 she was talking to V2
3: if it was just a voice it is still his because C2 says “isn’t that right lelouch”
a:which cold mean that he has become immortal
b: it could also mean that (my own personal theory) he now has a second geass which would enplane why his second eye suddenly had the geass and that would be his moms geass which is to enter another persons mind than him and C2 could be talking like how she and his mother where in all the other episodes

I: this new section has a matter of fact way about it but i find it to be truly amusing we are all aware of the characters V2 and C2 and that they mean V.V. and C.C. which apeantly gives clue to there names but the funny thing is that the third 2 was looking us right in the face and we were all to dumb to even see it R2 which i assumed meant round 2 means R.R. which in japan is pronounced like L.L or Lelouch Lamperouge any body else feel dumb

The mom transfered her soul before being killed to Anya Alstreim knight of 6 and was trapped in Anya till she encountered C2. Get over it Guys there is not going to be another season. What notes? The notes you mentioned are wrong. The only thing that is odd is the theory of season finale. But like Kiskae mentioned it might be that there will be another story of geass with different characters and story but even that is highly unlikely. Also many good animes end like this one where they only have 50 episodes. For example: Eureka 7, and Cowbow Bebob.

Lelouch is much like Jesus. In that regardless of who jesus really was, he purposefully played the role of the prophesized king and did what needed to be done to adopt that mask and make it his own, Just as Jesus knew what would come, (his sacrifice), so Lelouch knew that his sacrifice would be necessary to lift the weights of hatred from the shoulders of mans mass psyche (the unconscious). Jesus selflessly played the game and wore a mask to became the tool of redemption, so that others may psychologically transcend their sins and remove their own masks. Lelouch became the tool of renewal and transcendence so that all could experience liberation and freedom, breaking from their collectively conditioned bonds of conflict and insecurity.

Rather deep meaning. Made me cry to see him die, but for such a grand purpose, there is hardly any better a way to die then in the throws of a beautiful creation who author shall never be known. Such anonymity is what gives the symbols their power… dwell on that =)

Sara I watch the ending of japanese with english subtitles twice and it ends the same as it does here with english dub. I watched it twice cause dang freaking subtitles were going by fast.

The author left it up for the fans to decide if he is dead or not. I believe he is alive for a couple reasons.
1. I believe he received the code that his father obtained from V2. Remember how his father activated the code? He had to die once and then became immortal.
2. When Nannaly touched Lelouch something curious happened. She saw memories of the past, something that only C2 has been able to do so far. It is completely different from being able to tell if they are lying. So we can conclude that Lelouch is using a power similar to C2′s power.
3. The title of the second season is R2. In Japanese, the L’s in Lelouch’s name (I don’t want to spell his last name, too hard to remember) are actually R’s in japanese. This is directly similar to C2′s and V2′s names both of who had the immortal code thus implying something of similarity which we can conclude to be immortality.
4. The crane seen at the end of the episode is the exact crane that Nannaly first made in episode 4 of season 1. This was made before C2 started living in the school with Lelouch. The only person who knows about the significance of the crane is Lelouch. So why is the crane with C2 when she does not have a use for it? For what we know, C2 and Nannaly never had any kind of relationship other than through Lelouch. So we can conclude that it is Lelouch who brought it with him to remind himself what happened.
5. C2 was never talking to the dead or anything like that. She was talking to Lelouch’s mother in episodes before because she was hiding away in the knight of 6′s mind and communicating telepathically. She did not talk to Mao or any of the others who made a contract with her as far as we know. At the end she is talking to Lelouch, which does not make sense for her unless he is alive and within hearing distance, i.e driving the cart.
6. At the end when C2 is talking to Lelouch in the cart, C2 is talking about Geass and how the power will bring a life of solitude. However she says that the saying isn’t quite right. This can imply two things. One is that Lelouch is not alone, which would be meaningless for a dead person (as this anime mentions nothing of the here-after). Second is that C2 is not alone, which would imply someone is with her. As the cart driver is the only person with C2 it can only make sense that C2 and Lelouch are together and that he is driving the cart.

There can be a whole further list of reasons why he is alive or dead. Like i said above the author left it for us to decide. We can be our own authors here, thats what makes this ending great and amazing. However I am posting just to stop the whole persecution of those who believe he is alive. Just you know chill people and decide for yourself what seems best.

Lelouch is most definetely alive, only immortals can make contracts for starters which he does with Suzaku, and for two why would a cart driver randomly hide their whole face, and last is that CC says she was wrong about geass leading to a life alone which means that she was with him, but it is also the end because Lelouch wants only to live a peaceful life since Nunaly now has the gentle world he wanted to create for her is what all the signs point to. You must analyze and understand what the writer does and what would be the best ending from the hints he left it becomes obvious when you think about it and it is a well planned and great ending for the show, the best I have ever seen. Kudos to the writer of Code Geass… It was an excellent success of a show… ALL HAIL LELOUCH! ALL HAIL ZERO!

BTW a geass goes to both eyes when it reaches full power and only after that can a person become an immortal which is what Lelouch does by taking his fathers code. But the endings of anime are meant for more to be left to the viewer’s imagination to satisfy the maximum number of people, this is fact. But as for a third season in the future, it may be possible but doubtful. It would be interesting though. Having Lelouch return, taking back his role as Zero, but it would need a good and new plot line, like someone trying to conquer the now peaceful world. That would make for a good movie.

I’m perfectly satisfied with the way “Lelouch of the Rebellion” turned out. However, I hope this isn’t the end of Code Geass

i hate the english dub for this anime.
and i cant believe how mainstream this anime has become.
seriously guys. i remember watching this straight from japan as it was released weekly.
and now i’m sitting here and i cant find subs anywhere!
using the voice actor for Light does not do lelouch justice.
whereas Light was a touch crazy. lelouch is sane throughout the anime.

did anyone else think that the name “Fleya” which the english dub directly copied from the jap version was supposed to be pronounced “freya” as in the Goddess from Norse mythology? throughout code geass there are constant references to old pagan religions and i just wondered if this was another? also she represents war, death, battles, wealth and magic. half the souls that die in battle return to her.

I can’t stop crying, i understand why it had to end that way but i wish lelouch hadn’t die. this is one of the best cartoon i have ever watched. i don’t kow who i love more lelouch or suzaku.

Was ALL of that necessary to accomplish that? I ALMOST cried because of what had happened, and I don’t know why but I REALLY liked Rolo :’[ and was sad that he gave everything to save Lolouch. Nunnaly became a nuisance until she finally realized. I am obsessed with this series and they BETTER make another one. The ending was 10x better than Death Note even though DN’s story was interesting too. This was like Gundam but a LOT easier to follow.

GO to full screen mode at the end!! look at the driver of the Cart!! his face he has the black cloth over the bottom of his face like Leloche had under his mask as zero, The driver COULD be Lelouche. The makers probobly did that on purpose on the chance that if they got enough viewers they could make another season.

People stop saying he isn’t dead because he is. Remember C2 can hear people connected to Geass in her head and talk back, like she was with Lelouch’s mother. She’s talking to Lelouch not because he is the driver because he is not, but because he is connected to her in spirit through Geass. I’m not trying to ruin your hopes but he is dead, he sacrificed himself for the world.

Exaclty as Lauren mentioned the theme of this anime was that the only way the world could have peace is if the world has a common enemy to take their rage and fustrations and when that enemy is destroyed so will the rage and anger of mankind as a society. Now individually of course people will get mad at small stuff but not something as big as a war. I really hope they make another season, but I do not want to see lelouch in it appear alive. Especially for abandoning nunnally after she told him she would have been happy to live with her brother no matter the sistuation.

well, i am quite new to anime and this apart from pokemon and yu-gi-oh which i watched as a child is the first one i really got into, i believe that there are many reasons why lelouch is dead but then again many reasons for him being alive. the one thing that bugs me is that when i’m watching most of the episodes the writers seem to put two 15 min story lines together when if they worked harder each episode could in fact be split up into two witch would make each series longer and enplane more of the story or geass

oh and if anyone has a good anime i could watch it would be helpful, i would like it to be simular to this one but not as in the storyline or background, the meaning and stuff

Well, It’s over. That was one of the best anime’s i have ever seen. All Lelouch ever wanted was to create a world in which Nunally could live in peace. Then he realized that he had the power to make a world in which EVERYONE could live in peace, so thats what he did. He sacrificed himself. In the end, He really was a good person, even If Nanally hated him, even if his allies hated him, even if the whole world hated him. Lelouch did what was right, and felt happy about it in the end.

Michael I recommend Eureka 7, but not if you want action, blood and gore. The anime is about love to the point of sacrifice and another theme which you will learn if you watch it to the end. They should have it in dub by now.The love part reminds me of lelouch and shirley.

No, you’re wrong, C2 can only speak to Margarete( Lelouch’s mother) because her geass power is to get in some1′s mind, and than she could communicate with other minds as well, so she was talking to C2 on her own, C2 didn’t do anything. Therefore she couldn’t speak to Lelouch unless he is that driver from the cart.

What is confusing me is at the end of the last episode when i saw it on adultswim.com it showed c.c. laying down on a wagon with a bunch of hay then acting like she was talking to lelouch like he was right next to her and doing fine. So is he really dead or just maybe he could be alive some where running hoes

I cant believe lelouch died. He was a hero and a villian. The ending was sad and happy. Everytime i watch this ending i start crying everytime. Nunnally really loved her big brother and i guess in her heart she didnt want lelouch to die. She loves him and she only wishes him to come back and live with her because she said that she only wants to be with him just to be happy. Even Suzaku cried when lelouch was gonna die and he even knew. One thing for sure that lelouch was gonna be with his sister Euphy and his mom and dad and shirley. I wish they make another series on what happens to nunnally and suzaku.

I watch that stupid lelouch is alive video and I can tell you that she (sounds like a girl) is wrong. In the end she says why is the guy driving the cart so covered up she thinks its a bit too much…Have you seen muslim people you can only see their eyes and nothing else. So with that statement she is wrong. And I could prove all her statements wrong. Big deal she used videos to prove her wrong theory. The code gives you super fast regeneration/healing power.
Therefore, you won’t age nor die. geass free too!

After receiving the code, you need to die first in order to activate it!
Ways of dying:
a)C.C. was killed by the nun
b)Charles killed himeself first b4 facing lulu
c)lulu was killed by SPINZAKUUUU!
d)you can kill yourself anytime to activate the code!

You will lose the geass upon getting the code only if the code is from the same person who gave you the geass.
In Lulu’s case, he got cc’s geass and charles’ code! OWNED!
1.31) Some would say that no matter who the person is, you will lose the geass right after getting the code. If thats the case, you could say that since lulu’s code was not activated, he can still use geass to geass his brother. lulu’s code was activated at the end of the show. therefore, no more geass user in the world now? -.-;

1.4)proof of you won’t die after transferring the code.
nun killed herself after transferring, that why you see the blood.
vv was already seriously injured when transferring the code to charles. vv die after transferring the code but only because he lost the healing power while being injured.
errr.. so why not let vv heal first then transfer the code? Since charles discovered vv lied to him, their promise/ contract was broken. charles will fulfill the contract on his own.

2) Why transfer the code?
Charles gave the code to his son lulu because immortal is consider a bad thing to some people in the anime.
Just look at cc and the nun’s story. They both want to transfer the code after living for a longlong time

2.1) why would Charles want to get the code from vv if is a bad thing?
because Charles needs to be geass-free first in order to face lulu!

Yes, Lelouch vi Britannia was listed in the official death list.
His death was the price he had to pay for creating his better world.
However, some would say that this means Lelouch could not live as Lelouch vi Britannia/ human anymore because of the things he did. plus he got the code now, you can;t say he is a human anymore.

I think your mistaking this with some other anime perhaps naruto because that fact has not been metioned at all in this anime. And you did not explain how he manged to escape while every freaking person was starring at him including nunnally who was holding his hand. Also, she probably stood close to the body for another 4 hours mourning him. Nunally also would have been able to tell if lelouch was lying since she found out about his plan to make peace in the end. Prove both those statements with a good reason and I will follow you on the “He is alive theory”. But they better be good and not some regeneration stuff that they never mentioned in this anime. And nunnally was able to see in his mind how he had it all planned out, so why didn’t she see the part where he planned to walk out of their alive? I thought the ending was amazing. I also really liked the music at the very end. it was good choice to close the episode with it.

And the super regeneration power is the power you get when you activate the code, with it you can’t be killed by anything, and will not age while you have it. It’s like Wolverine from the X-men, if you ever saw X-men, he is like 200 years old cuz he has the regeneration ability ^^… But in Code Geass, you live forever

I have to say, that was a Very satisfying and unexpected ending. I did have a feeling that Lelouche had planned something like that, I also figured he was going to die at the end, but not so much that he would have to sacrifice himself. Very honorable, and only 10 or so people ever really understand his true plan.

That said, there is at least one loose end, which actually gives rise to the possibility that Lelouche is still alive. I re-watched the last 10 minutes or so, and it is most likely that Lelouche is dead, however, the loose end I’m talking about is C.C. She is shown grieving for Lelouche’s impending death in the last 10 minutes or so, which seems like proof. And also the sword through the heart thing

However, C.C. is still alive, and although she might be content at the moment, she still can’t die, and the only person that can kill her is someone with Geass. This can mean a number of things: 1) That Lelouche had to live in order to fulfill his contract with her, and thus his death was staged,

2) That somehow C.C. is able to continue living, despite having already transferred her Code to Lelouche prior to his “death”, which would mean that her grief is over the fact that he can never die.

3) Lelouche is dead, and C.C. will eventually have to form another contract with someone in order to finally die.

Before anything, I’d like to say that this is my absolute favorite animé out there. Probably my favorite TV show, too. However, from what I’ve seen, read, and heard, Lelouch isn’t exactly dead… And I’ll leave it there.

Ironically, I cried at the ending, and I’ve never really cried at any movie, show, or book… But, I cried at animé… Something I’m not really that into.
Once again, I absolutely love this show.

I believe I have it figured out now:

Lelouche is dead because even though he had the full power of Geass, he never took anyone’s Code. He could have stolen Charles’ Code, when he first gained full power over Geass, but instead allowed the Collective Unconscious of Mankind to erase him and Marianne from existence. There is no evidence that he and C.C. completed their contract.

Also, there’s a chance that Charles took C.C’s code, making her mortal, and with no more Geass in the world, everything is nicely wrapped up.

Sure it would. People frequently speak as though the one to whom they are speaking are present, or able to respond, i.e. Alive.

Anyway, C.C. was actually speaking with Marianne, because if you’ll recall, Marianne’s Geass was the ability to enter other’s consciousness. When she entered Anya after being killed by V.V., She said she was suddenly able to commune telepathically with C.C.

Having reviewed certain episodes, I recall that C.C. retains her Code, despite her interaction with Charles. Now while that grants a slight possibility that Lelouche is still alive, consider this: Remember episode 48? When Lelouche sacrificed his own ground forces to destroy Schnizel’s air forces with a volcanic eruption? And in episode 49, he kept sending his troops into the blast radius of the F.L.E.I.A.’s so as to provide data on them, as well as an opening to board the Damocles?

None of these are particularly heroic things, in fact, they’re pretty low-down, all things considered. Episode 50 paints Lelouche as a hero. The greatest hero, as it happens. If he were truly the hero the last episode makes of him, and in light of all the evil things he did, both as Emperor, and as Zero, don’t you think he would think it only fitting that he died as a result? As atonement? Besides, think of his words to Suzaku: “The only ones who should kill, are those prepared to be killed.”

It’s a common theme in epic storytelling: The savior cannot inherit the world he/she struggled so mightily to save. Lelouche has lost everything: He made himself the enemy of the entire world– If he were to be found alive, he’d be tried and executed, despite certain key people knowing the truth– They couldn’t defend him, because that would undo his plan to focus everyone’s hatred on him.

He lost Shirley, and even Rolo, whom he hated till the end, was as much a victim as anyone, which fact Lelouche acknowledged, when he thanked him for his sacrifice. He had to kill Euphemia after a tragic accident. And speaking of Euphemia, Suzaku WOULD NOT stop harping on that, not even after learning the full truth in C’s world– It had to happen that he would eventually claim his life for that.

Finally, he can never lay eyes on his sister again, nor can he be with the Black Knights. After ALL THAT, why would he want to live? Lelouche IS dead, because that would have been the only acceptable outcome in his mind, and for all involved.

I can see how that might be confusing, given the sentence that preceeded it. What I meant here was that when C.C. was talking to Marianne, she was speaking telepathically with the ACTUAL Marianne, whose Geass gave her that ability. Even if she wasn’t, she had spoken with her in such a fashion before, and knew for a fact that Marianne was alive in some way.

This is opposed to C.C.saying Lelouche’s name at the very end, in which she’s merely speaking to a memory of someone who’s died. Which again, is not uncommon.

Lelouch is dead because he never wanted immortality. His goal was for a peaceful and gentler world for nunally. Remember he had his chance to gain immortaly and never took it. Remember how he said life would be stale if there was no changes. Immortality was never the goal and he even rejected it when it was offered to him.

Oh stop talking about “Who was C.C talking to?”. Of course she was talking to Lelouche, but that DOES NOT mean he HAS to be alive. People frequently, especially in tv and movies, talk to people that have passed in the present tense. They usually do that soon after that person has died, either with the belief that the deceased can still hear them, or just to comfort themselves.

Lelouche lost everything he ever loved, committed horrible attrocities, and was a murderer on top of it all. Why would he want to live? How could he?

Furthermore, there is no indication that Lelouche took anyone’s Code, not Charles’, not C.C.’s. Which means he was ready to die at Suzaku’s hand, which is what the ENTIRE series from Euphemia’s death onward has been leading up to.

All the “clues” you might have seen that show Lelouche to be alive (C.C.’s comment, the “guy driving the cart”, ??Jeremiah’s .05 second smirk after Lelouche died?? [some YT guy thinks THAT amounts to proof], etc.) can be used to justify the position that Lelouche really IS dead. Not to mention, the Director himself has confirmed that Lelouche did indeed die.

So stop that. He’s dead. You like him, so you want him to be alive. Understandable. But think of it from his perspective: Like I just said he lost everything and did horrible things. He matured at the end and realized that to destroy and recreate the world, he would have to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Outstanding series with a perfect ending. The writer left the ending up to the viewers. It’s up to YOU if C2 is talking to Lelouch in person or not. For me Lelouch is dead. He was able to strategically plan his own death the way I’m sure he’d want to die.

Let people think what they want. You don’t have to force your opinions on them. If they want to believe he is still alive, then let them. It isn’t going cause the world to end if they have different views from your own.

That said, Lelouche IS dead– all the facts point that way AND… The creators already said so.

Could they bring him back to life somehow for a 3rd season? Sure, if they really had as much of a problem with him being dead as some fans. I did hear something about a possible continuation not related to the alternate universe version, which may or may not be coming. Would it be worthwhile to bring him back from the dead just so the series could continue? Not likely; It would require a VERY well conceived plot. No matter what does end up happening though, he’s dead now.

I repeat: Lelouche is Dead now.

For the record, I initially wanted him to be alive, and saw clues that led in that direction, but then I realized that regardless of what I wanted, his death was really the only way the story could be resolved. I’ve stated my reasons why that is more than once on this board.

Having spent a significant amount of time pulling my emotions together after watching the season 2 finale, I have been thinking about that last scene with C.C. and the cart. My suspicion is that IF the spikey-black-haired driver of the cart is Lelouch, then the scene takes place in the World of C.C. My reasons being:

1. the landscape was an optimized version of the landscape of the scene of her childhood when she explained herself and the geass contract.

2. the cart driver and C.C. are the only two humans in the scene. If it’s haying season as the load in the cart suggests, there would be other people in the fields.

3. the second geass mark in his right eye appeared because he had used his power so much (remember Mao and C.C.’s explanation back in season 1?) so he doesn’t have Marianne’s geass power and can’t take over another person’s body.

4. The idea is in line with the premises built up throughout both seasons in regards to geass.

I have to admit I was absolutely surprised by the discovery of Lelouch’s “Zero Requiem” plan. It was so in character for him, actually. Turning lies, destruction, and all manner evil to an ultimate good, he’s really the ultimate hero/antihero. The machinations rival those of Shakespeare’s plays and are reminiscent of Hamlet and Macbeth though far more complicated.

I must commend the writers of this series for creating what I think is the best anime storyline that I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching. The artists, too, deserve commendation for the exquisite backgrounds, character and costume designs, and the expression of emotion through movement and facial features.

I don’t think it would be a good idea to do a third season, at least not one that follows immediately onwards from here. A future sequel series where the world faces an outside enemy (a threat from an extraterrestrial race or perhaps another entity similar to C.C. but entirely malignant), maybe, but not a human versus human one.

Also, I like to think that when the dying Lelouch gave Suzako the geas (and I didn’t misspell that BTW, read on and you’ll see why) to give up his personal identity and remain Zero, he wasn’t using his power, but using the word in the traditional sense of the word, a requirement to fulfill a deed placed on one from another person or entity usually to accomplish something necessary for a great reward. Unlike Geass is a power that is inflicted on someone, a geas must be accepted by the recipient’s own will. Lelouch was asking this time, not demanding. But I think he knew that Sazuko couldn’t NOT do as he asked because of the kind of person he was.

I could sit and type for hours more about different aspects of this series (Rollo, Marianne, the Knights of the Round, and more) but won’t so that. Instead, I think I’ll go back to the beginning and watch the series again.

Oh, in case there is any question. My discussing the possibility that the final scene is in C.C.’s world in my previous post, doesn’t mean I’m in the “Lelouch is still alive!” fan club. Like Hamlet Lelouch had to die. As 1st_Tsurugi said in his/her post, the idea of a svious not being able to stay and enjoy the fruits of his sacrifice is prevalent through literature; for example, Tolkien’s Frodo destroyed The Ring but was too injured in body and spirit to be able to continue living in Middle-Earth so he left it for a place where there was only the hope of healing, knowing that he could never, ever return. If I mentioned all the other examples of this I know, this post would be far too long.

Yes, the writers could have taken the “cheap and easy” way out and let him live but , in my opinion, would have made the entire message of the story invalid.

Oh, yes. I also loved it that Jeremiah and Cornelia have an orange farm at the end. It was a very sly and humorous touch. Seeing Ougi and Viletta’s wedding pic was wonderful. In just those few seconds I was reassured as to the fates of many of the characters who I had come to care about. And the shot of Viletta placing her hand on her pregnant belly was beautiful: a touching symbol of the new hope engendered by Lelouch’s sacrifice.

As for Nunally, it seems that many commentators here don’t quite understand what she actually meant at the end. She was saying that she didn’t need anything except the presence of the brother she loved to be happy, whether it was in a palace, a school or a cottage somewhere, whether the world was at war or at peace. I found it interesting that she was dressed in red, given the Arthurian imagery and symbolism rife within the series. According to some scholars, the use of the color red within the Arthurian tales referred to by the names used for city’s. mecha and so forth indicates the development of a non-natural world, a man-made, perhaps artificial world compared to the greens of nature (think of the color of the Green Knight that Gawain fought). I choose to think that red gown Leluch had her dressed in was a symbol that his (apparent) treatment of her was false. Also, she was in a position of shame at his feet and the color red has been used through literature as a mark of shame as well (Nathaniel Hawthorne’s “The Scarlet Letter” comes to mind). Also, it emphasized her apparent helplessness and made her a sympathetic figure to the people, a form of insurance that some agitator wouldn’t decide to kill her for being related to the hated 99th Emperor.

Also, just being stabbed in the heart doesn’t mean your heart stops immediately. depending on where the sword struck, Lelouch’s heart would continue beating for a few minutes until the loss of blood became such that the nerves telling the heart to beat were starved of oxygen.There was more than enough time for him to speak to Suzako and Nunally before he died.

Also, I am thinking that it’s possible that Jeremiah was aware of the “Zero Requiem” plan because of the look and nod that he gave to Suzako/Zero. And he didn’t really seem to be trying too hard to prevent Zero from getting to Lelouch.

um… this is one of the best things i’ve ever seen in my life! as for movies or T.V period! im so glad right before Lelouch died, his sister finally realizes what he did for her. i cant help but tear up a little, if you have grown conected to this show like i did. what an amazing show. i thought Death Note was great (which it was) but Code Geass blows Death Note out the water in my opinion. i have so much to say, but im speechless… thanks to everyone who didn’t give away the ending on all the sites i’ve been on. The crane is most probably the representation of lelouch’s wish for teh world that he created for his sister and there is also a small posibility that lelouch lives on inside cc MAYBE but its not certain just gives the audience summat to hold on to, myself i personally feel he is but who can eever really no, GJ on this was extreamly entertaining.

Words… they are just meaningless here… this whole anime shaked my… his strategy, his dedication, his sacrifice, his… even is everyone sayed he was selfish, he did all of that for his sister, his friends, his people. The only peace of mind he got in the end was that his sister didnt hated him like everyone else, he was a true hero, a people’s hero, he sacrificed more than his life for them, and they dont even now it.

AND, thats now like Jesus at all, because, in the end people started to pray to Jesus, but here, people hated him…

I hope that a new season will be created just to know that he’s alive, or just to know that the world found out about his sacrifice to them and be a bit gravefull for all he has done for them.

This is one of the if not the most amazing series i have ever watch, 100/10

I loved this series its the third time I watched it and I think the ending is the reason why I keep watching it. Leoluch wanted to also die to pay for his sins he committed. I really did get choked up at then end and wished it worked out better for him, but this was the way to go and really makes you think about it, would you trade your life for the happiness of the rest? I dont know if I honestly could say yes. But there will be a third season and as much as I think it should stay where its at I would like to see what happens, I would like to know more about the past like Leoluch’s childhood and Earl and what not. But great series my Favorite anime of all time (because its basiacally the only one). But I think he is alive in the sense that Lady Marian was like how C.C was able to talk to her thats how she is talking to leluch although I wont doubt he could be the cart driver but hey we will see next year!

And if for some reason there is a third one, it will ruin the impact of the ending in addition to the series as a whole. I respect this show enough that I do not want to see it again just to appeal to pathetic fanboys/whore for money, a sad trend that has ruined so many things for me.

Also, it was officially released that he did actually die, but at a later date the creator said that each person should interpret the ending for themselves.

Trying to replace him with a third character would never work, it would just be a copy of his brilliance and strategy. If Lelouch really did live, then of course the whole plan is ruined. Everyone would want him to die, is that what you think the whole season should be about? People trying to kill him?
No, Lelouch made people think it was him to blame for all the bad things (some of it was his fault), so that they would never again start a war. Because in the end, Lelouch decided that he wished for world peace, so he let himself die. Now everyone will be happy forever, and he will always be blamed for the war.

They are making a third season unfortunately. I just hope Lelouch stays dead. It would ruin everything if he came back. I love Lelouch and all but the impact of his sacrifice would totally be destroyed.

Whether or not there is a season 3. Lelouch is not dead. In the end when C2 is in the wagon she looks towards the wagon driver when she saids “…right? Lelouch”. They are together forever so they will never be in solitude. The reason he is not dead and likely because he has the code which grants him immortality.
In a way Lelouch not dying might be part of his plan. So in the future if war ever breaks out he could redo the zero requiem. In the future meaning at least 100+ years later when everybody he knows has died.
I do have a question concerning Suzaku and whether if he will ever die. The geass placed on him commands him to live and when Lelouch leans over to talk to him he does say that he must live behind the mask and protect this world “eternally”. Does that mean Suzaku will not die?

Metaphorically Lelouch is dead. To the people living at the time he was stabbed he is dead. That was the plan. The people became united against a common enemy.

In actuality Lelouch is alive because he is immortal. Whether or not he planned it or even knows that he is immortal before dying is irrelevant. One important fact presented in the anime is when Nunnally touched Lelouch’s arm he can see his memories. First lets clear up that being able to see someone’s memory through touch is not a human power. From this premise it is likely that either Nunnally or Lelouch is not human. After watching the show Im pretty sure that there a much higher chance that Lelouch is not human than Nunnally. The only other “being” that ever released memories when touched was C2. who is immortal.

Amazing, i loved the entire series. I dont know how the ending could have been any better. I personally would enjoy another season just because i love the series though i think it is better if they did not make one and left him dead as the end. There have been many theories spoken as to how he could be alive and I have one more that i didnt see mentioned. If you will remember back to the valentines episode when lelouche’s maid (sorry i could not remember her name at this time) impersonated him, is it not possible that it was really her that got killed? It semmed to me that Lelouch is dead like Marianne was dead. So dead in a single dimension, that of life. So Lelouch exists only in C’s world now, but remember, he learned enough rules about how existence works to surprise and finally kill his Father by using his Father’s distance in perspective to own the now for a single second. Long enough to shift the position of the world as Charles related to it. So who knows how strong a presence he IS in C’s world. Being the Collective Unconscious, or C squared, it is made up of everyone/erverything as a single organism. Lelouch’s presence would be strengthened by people even just remembering Lelouch as Zero, which would be pretty easy, given how people remember Hitler, and Zero is sticking around in Suzaku. I mean C’s talks to Lelouch at the end, so he’s definitely alive in C’s world.
I don’t agree with those who think Lelouch is like Jesus though. His morals were way more of an anti-christ thing. I think the whole show is better in quantum mechanics thinking rather than religious thinking, but that’s my opinion only. Any way you can enjoy the show is good cause it’a a good show.

There are many ways Lelouch could have lived, he could have mastered Geass, or he could have made some1 where a similar mask that the ninja lady wore, I don’t however think there will be an R3 unless it is mostly about solving the rest of the worlds problems but that would kind of suck, I think we are supposed to either guess if Lelouch died or if Lelouch lived and spent the rest of his days with C2

Lelouch IS NOT DEAD, here is the explanation:

1. He killed his father and he has his code, but it gets active when the user dies. Remember, in C.C.’s memories she says: “Please, get out of my body” reffering to the Geass when she dies for first time and realizes that she is inmortal. Well the Geass gets active in Lelouch when he dies.

2. C.C. is talking with Lelouch… think again: She never talks again with Marianne when she dies completly or she never talks or see Mao when he dies, so… Lelouch is alive.

3. In this final scene C.C says: “The power of Geass brings loneliness…thats not quite right is it, Lelouch?” So… if Lelouch is not alone anymore and is with C.C… he must to be the wagon driver, ne?, look how C.C. nods her head in the direction of the wagon driver =)

4. Lelouch traspassed his memories to Nunally before “die”… only a user with a powerful code can do it… we know that C.C. can do it, but not Lelouch, so… he is immortal.

You have to analyse every chapter and understand the Geass power to conclude this, but believe me, LELOUCH IS NOT DEAD!! =P

Regardless of whether he is dead, or not the next season(which IS official, so stop saying it is not) will not cast him as a main character. It stars a boy named Renya who has a mechanical left arm. The english title is Code Geass: Renya of the Blackness I think, if I remember correctly. I always knew Code Geass would not end here, the subtitle for the original Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, always told us that the Geass Universe would not be limited by Lelouch’s Era.

lelouch died… one of the last part showed his body burning in hell. there is one thing that some people forget, they could make another season because lelouch had used his geass to the point of complete power. he could have obtained C2′s code and so become immortal to live again…just saying and as for the sacrifice, it was necesary. ironic at the end that Lelouch is finally realizing his dream, by “losing” he actually wins.

i think lelouch is alive because if you notice in the last episode oange boy(lelouch’s loyal knight)smiles when lelouch gets stabbed and i think there should be another season.it should start out like for some reason lelouch had a son and turns out to be like him and they put him in jail and he escapes and builds an army and its still sad cause lelouch is still dead anyway then his son attacks and declares war for murder of the king and people strt joining in

Hopefully this will help put an end to this bickering. If Lelouch died the world rebuilds and everyone is happy. If he lived then the world will rebuild and everyone will be happy either way it realy makes no difference in his overall sceme. And what if he should be alive be it imortal or otherwise hmmm? He will simply travel the world hidden from view with none but cc to acompany him. And did anyone ever stop to consider that even though he is alive he and cc may be the only ones to know it. Think of it as permanent exile a type of self punishment. Regaurdless of whether or not he lived or died the end result of this series is the same and its affects were still felt by all.

Totally bawling my eyes out right now. I think they may pop out of my head. I’m moreso sad and ashamed for Nunally. I’m ashamed because I’m crying so much but dammit, my emotions can’t be controlled in situations like this! MY anime husband has just DIED!!! T_T T_T T_T T_T T_ T_ T_ T T_T T_T T_T T_T T_T I am sure that many others feel this way as well. Girls and possibly bi people that is. Either way, Lelouche was loved, and only by 2 people at that very moment. I wish that another season could be made, but lest I digress, for this season, it was a good ending. However, those of us telling others to suck it up, suck a juicy wet one because some of us have just seen this and are feeling totally lost rigt now as to what happened. I’m still confused though. There is a very strong possibility that he could be alive, and a strong possibility that he could be dead! I mean, at the ending of season one, suzaku shot him in the head thus shattering the mask in half. He lived after that. ANd considering Lelouche’s great acting and anticipation skils, hence the way he had a tendancy to record himself in order to get close to an enemy so as to have them believe that he is too far away to catch them, I see no reason that he couldn’t have just acted the death and had Suzaku stab him in an organ that wasn’t vital, or have a type of bloody dummy or something.

There’s also the fact that he’s immortal after “killing” his father and practically saving Gd. (IN THIS SERIES) I see no reason why he wasn’t turned immortal. also C2 didn’t lose her memory for nuthin. He had to have been immortal. And lastly, remember that C2 told him that if he consistantly used his Geass that it would grow stronger? He practically took control of an entire militia, not to mention more than half of his subjects in the second season since he first recieved geass. He must have excelled to his mother’s geass level and transfered into another body just before dying. Because notice that his eyes didn’t go up like any other anime character when they die? His eyes stayed in one place. They didn’t rise and look up at that glowing light. But his geass still worked. So it wasn’t sealed away, so another king of geass had to exist. The only person suitable for that had to have been Lelouch right? There is a strong possibility that there will be an r3. But I feel that regardless, Lelouche is still alive in my heart, and in my dreams, the series never ends! Once ya learn how to control your dreams and make it so that you have your own episodes in your head every night, there’s no need for another series! But it wouldn’t hurt for the fans who are bawling their eyes out and emailing the producers to make another season of course. For those of you constantly begging for another season, why don’t you just go to the official code geass website and make a peition or get a whole buncha people worldwide to send them long letters begging them to make an r3 with a HAPPY ending? Think of it this way, they did what they could, it’s nearly the same as a 3 year old asking for a cookie. She also said the name Lelouche. Lelouche in the heavens couldn’t hear her talking that low. And her voice radius was just loud enough like in a loud whisper where the man driving the cart could hear her. Oh yeah, after writing this, I DEFINATELY think Lelouche is alive and well. And is more than likely immortal and living under another name and not being hated by everyone on earth! Nunally more than likely doesn’t know a thing about it. And C2 and Lelouche are living happily ever after.

Oh God, I’m COMPLETELY bawling my eyes out right now. I think they may pop out of my head. I’m moreso sad and ashamed for Nunally. I’m ashamed because I’m crying so much but dammit, my emotions can’t be controlled in situations like this! MY anime husband has just DIED!!! Either way, Lelouche was loved, and only by 2 people at that very moment. I wish that another season could be made, but lest I digress, for this season, it was a good ending. However, those of us telling others to suck it up, suck a juicy wet one because some of us have just seen this and are feeling totally lost rigt now as to what happened. I’m still confused though. There is a very strong possibility that he could be alive, and a strong possibility that he could be dead! I mean, at the ending of season one, suzaku shot him in the head thus shattering the mask in half. He lived after that. ANd considering Lelouche’s great acting and anticipation skils, hence the way he had a tendancy to record himself in order to get close to an enemy so as to have them believe that he is too far away to catch them, I see no reason that he couldn’t have just acted the death and had Suzaku stab him in an organ that wasn’t vital, or have a type of bloody dummy or something.

There’s also the fact that he’s immortal after “killing” his father and practically saving Gd. (IN THIS SERIES) I see no reason why he wasn’t turned immortal. also C2 didn’t lose her memory for nuthin. He had to have been immortal. And lastly, remember that C2 told him that if he consistantly used his Geass that it would grow stronger? He practically took control of an entire militia, not to mention more than half of his subjects in the second season since he first recieved geass. Lelouch is alive..that guy at the ending who C2 was talk is Lelouch.

The maid being shot theory i believe is incorrect,if u remember the part where loid rockshada and all them were in 2 prison cells and how they all appeared as the ones about to be executed,although she wasnt shown,i believe she was with the other prisoners

this was one of the best animes i have ever seen i hope that they will make more episodes in the furture although how theyll start it off will be a challenge. Anyway i really like watching and listening to the music of the anime it is so beautiful and sad.

this was indeed the best anime show i will ever see in my life! I love all of this shows songs and i was blown away by the stroy it had! I was very sad knowing this show had ended and seeing lelouch die after everything he had been through. His life was rough. I can only feel sad and happy for him. He left the world with peace and only a few mourn his death. And now hes with shirley, euphimia, and everyone else he killed. And i know he should be sent to hell for all of the people hes killed, but he had a very good reason for doing so and i would recommend him to go to heaven and let him relax for once in his life. I will really miss this anime!

I think Lelouch is still alive because he stole Charles code during the Ragnarok connection which Charles stole from V2.When Charles died he was simply activating the code and became immortal.So when Lelouch died he is activating the code.But before he died he transferd his memories to Nunnally which takes a very powerful code to do.Thus proving he is immortal.Also he has geass on both eyes.The only thing i dont get is that Suzaku said he accepts this geass.Will he get geass too?Maybe everything will be clear once they release the next season.

Why did he have to die with everyone hating him, when if he didn’t do anything nothing would have changed and Japan would still be Area 11!

Interesting, in the end, Lelouch took Marion’s place, and now he is still, in a way, alive by talking with C2, so even in death, he isn’t alone.

The crane on the cart symbolises the fact that C-2 has been given a wish she did not realise she wanted until the end. She wanted to die until Lelouch convinced her to stop collecting experiences and LIVE.
The crane symbolises the fruition of Lelouch’s wish for a new world, and the beginning of a new life for C-2 and everyone else.
Lel driving the cart is absurd.

Wouldn’t it be wise to stop argueing over this all, and simply wait it out to see what happens?

There -are- Rumors of an R3 season. From what I have found, Nanna will be the main focus, And Lulu will not be a main character… However, those are only Rumors.

The Theories here for the most part could all have truth to them….
But you do have to remember.. Everything that was Zero, was thought up by the writers of this series… And if he created all of those miricals… Don’t you think they could come up with something just so twisted to bring him back if they wished it??

Okay, let me say that that was one of the greatest endings I’ve ever seen to one the animes I’ve ever seen. And I don’t know if there will be a season three, but I would be more than happy to watch it.

You people do not see the truth. What Lelouch did, what he planned from the start, was to bring to us a world of freedom. He became Zero, and he truly cared about his Knights and all of his friends. Lelouch sacrificed himself to give Nannally, Suzaku, Kallen, everyone a new life. He knew he had to make these choices of self-sacrifice from the very beginning.

He committed evil to destroy a greater evil, leaving only justice in his wake; justice that looks like malice to those blinded by their self righteousness. Giving everything he was in return for everything that people needed was what he did.

Suzaku took up the mask of Zero and brought justice in a packaged tailored in the suit of action. Lelouch set himself up to look like the enemy, and everyone thinks of him as the enemy, but he is truly their savior; they owe all to him, and he gave it to them of his own free will.

He is not dead, for Zero is not dead. Camela lives, Suzaku lives, Nunnally lives, and his world lives. The choices he made and the actions he took live. That is who Lelouch is. The waves he made were grand, and they sweep away everything upon the shore, for he is greater.

Lelouch can not die. Forever people will curse his name, but as an ultimate humble hero, they, in a way, repay him by living and changing. For he is not just Zero, nothing, he is the embodiment of what makes us human. Camela wanted happiness.

Lelouch wanted happiness.

And he has it, more than you realize.

It’s quite simple. He realized what the power was doing to him and he decided to use that towards his goals. He might have lost sights of them a bit along the way, but his goals were to create a peaceful world for nunally. By having Suzaku kill him , he accomplished exactly that, Zero became a symbol for justice and world unification.

Wow that was truly an incredible ending, The whole story kept me guessing and thinking and ended up making me cry, here’s a question for everyone, what is truly the greatest deed of heroism… doing something truly great for the sake of others knowing they will never know what you did for them, at least that’s my opinion.

PS to Allie, You said that “in naruto all naruto wants to do is become hokage and save his best friend he died and sasuke died too he just wanted to kill the monster who killed his whole family”, do you even watch Naruto, 1st off Naruto and Sasuke are both still alive, 2nd Sasuke killed Itachi and then joined up with Madara against Konoha, 3rd Naruto and Sasuke will soon have a major battle which make their first fight look like a joke by comparison, seriously get informed!

Anyway Code Geass is a great anime, anything that can make me cry like THAT deserves an award or something!

listen, i know its a great source of debate, and im still debating it more than 9 months after i watched the epic end scene, but the fact is,

****there is absolutely NO WAY to tell if lelouch is dead or not!!!****

we all saw the cart driver with cc at the end, we saw her apparently talking to lelouch, and the smug look on oranges face, all that which could mean something. but the real question is: did lelouch inherit charles’ code, or didnt he? there is no way to be certian about it either way. if you rewatch it, (its episode r2 20-something???) youll see that it looks like charles is trying to force his code upon lelouch. or maybe he is just trying to grab onto him. (with the hand of the code symbol on it?O_o?) whatever. but then lelouch uses the geass on him to begone, (thus killing him officially) before charles has a chance to do whatever it was he was trying to do to lelouch. atleast, it appears that way. maybe the code was forced upon lelouch, maybe it was rejected, theres no way to know. therefore lelouch could be alive or dead.

right now im leaning on the side that says hes dead, because im pretty sure that he was rejecting his parents at that intense moment, and therefore charles code as well XD (although its much more fun to think that hes alive…since that leaves room for fanfictions, and maybe even another season
