Uh Josh the Tokyo settlement was built to be Earthquake resistant, perfectly understandable since Tokyo sits on a threeway faultline! Lelouch used his Geass to arrange that collapse by making operators sabotage its foundation and cause it to break down like that!

It wouldve been awful if they didnt make R2 lol. But even with this being my 4th time seeing the entire show, nina is still fucking annoying. But damn, its actually very sad how all the Japanese are let down by Lelouch.
